Battlefield 3 VS. COD MWF

I have a ps3 and i am going to let dfwm pick my game I want one or the other can someone tell me the pro's and cons... I'm not really a gamer but one of these war online games seem pretty fuckin cool.

I like the style of MW3 better. Of course this is my opinion and I'm sure others won't agree.

BF3 is more team oriented and plays a little slower. It has vehicles that add a cool twist to the gameplay, now if that's good or bad depends on your ability to control them effectively. This is a good game to play with friends.

MW3 is a faster paced game, there will be killstreaks in the air all the time and people chunking grenades and general mayhem everywhere. I think MW3 is easier to pick up and play without a group of friends, although that is still your best option.

I think graphics is pretty much a toss up on either so it really just boils down to which type of gameplay you prefer.

I like the idea of teaming up with a couple of buddies.. which one would be easier for the non-hardcore gamer (meaning simple controls and not a lot crazy power moves-ish stuff) .. Vice City was the last game I played for more than 3 hours lol..

I think MW3 would be better to just jump in and play with some friends. You don't need alot of strategy you can just shoot crap and if you shoot alot of crap in a row you can call in a helicopter to shoot crap for you too. The controls are pretty much the same on each game so that shouldn't be a big selling point for either game.

It depends on what you want to do. Cod is a very sandbox close-range non-tactical game. It's got its ups and is good for quick games ( 10min vs battlefield's 20-30min)

I love battlefield. There is so much teamwork/tactical elements/ and ways to help the team out. Even if you aren't good at racking up kills you can still contribute to win ( Medic, Uav Drone spotter, giving ammo) Yesterday I spent the whole game up in a uav calling targets for multiple squad tanks and we just dominated. Battlefield has better sound, everything is uniquely destructible and it's just so much more realistic and immersive. Never in mw3 will you be prone in a building scared to death because tank and mortar rounds are landing all around you and the building is coming down. You also don't die every ten seconds ( for the most part ) and don't have killstreaks .we had eight or nine board members in the same game yesterday and were all working together. you wont get any of that in mw3.


MW3: more customization ( Battlefield has a lot too)
Short games
Easier to jump into and do alright
easier to play/more game modes/small maps/no vehicles


BF3: way more real/intense
Big maps/realistic destruction/all kinds of vehicles
Tactical/lots of team work
Longer games
A bit frustrating at first/not easy to just jump into but very rewarding

MW3 as you can play online as a team or commando. Some of the maps, I would just run around the map in a clockwise circle running up on people shooting or stabbing them and kept on going. I'd surprise the shit out of quite a few people.

Cheap turtle beaches are like $50 and have a mic built in.

COD is more run and gun. BF3 is more tactical. COD can be fun, if you start playing with the same people regularly, and get used to their skill/tactics. I prefer more teamwork, as opposed to kids running around with no purpose shooting and blowing shit up.

COD also has more game modes. The BF series has always lacked in that dept, IMO.

Played BF3 for a bit. The.vehicles were alright fun but the gun game was terrible. Traded it in this morningg for MW3 and loving it.
