My IBM T-40 has worked flawless since I got it. I will admit that I spilt some fruit punch on it a few weeks ago, but even still it worked fine.
Yesterday I put it into standby to take it to the track to tune with. When I went to use it it would not boot and kept erroring during the boot with a 0200 fixed disc failure.
I kept rebooting it until finally it started up fine. Then for shits I shut it down and had the same problem, 0200 fixed disc failure. Again, after booting it a few times it finally booted. Now I haven't shut it down since then (actually I am typing on it right now).
Anything I can do to keep this bastard alive? Seems strange that it works flawlessly once it boots. Not sure how harddisc fail, but I didn't think they just randomly wouldn't boot and when they did they worked fine?
Anything?
