logging into apps with facebook account info

It seems like the new thing with apps is login via linking ur facebook account, do you just type in ur info and trust apps that are from reliable sources or always create a new account? Its so nice and easy to login by linking facebook but I don't know if I trust this method.

Facebook itself is selling your data to third parties, so why not let 4th parties have it as well?
