The fact that you still have an iphone and are awaiting an update shows how little you know of the phone market. Like Steve jobs the iPhone is dead. Actually the iphone had been dead for years. Its an obsolete phone that can't compete with other phones. He did the same shit in the 80s because he knew that he could overwhelm people with his ahead of times inventions and ride them out til the end. The iPhone is a thing of the past .
Either be updated or outdated.

Just updated the wifes iphone 4. Its pretty sad that I can update my android phone in less than 5 minutes but it takes over 1 1/2 hours to update my wifes iphone. Just an hour of that was waiting for itunes to download the actual update over my 12mb wifi.

iPhone is a great phone for people who have no clue what they are doing.
Android is great for people who aren't afraid of exploring and breaking shit.
BlackBerry is great for reliability (don't lo' ball me with their recent issues -still way better than the whole dropped call iP4 bullshit, plus BlackBerry's new OS [not yet released] is powered by the same OS that guides missiles, and will run Android apps)
Nokia is dead
WebOS was really cool, but too late to the plate.Tera 4:1 + 4.88's = Slowest rig on here

Wow......I guess the world must be full of people who like out of date phones then. As an overall, easy to use, reliable multi-purpose device...the Iphone is hard to beat. Sure there are things it won't do...but its pretty damn capable and it pretty much led to everything else that exists now in the smartphone market. One thing I will admit....for accessories...NOTHING....absolutely NOTHING can touch the Iphone...docking stations, music systems, alarm clock docks, apps. Apple hit a homerun when they invented the Iphone. You may badmouth it...but its phenomenal sales records and aftermarket support trump ANY other phone...PERIOD. I have an Iphone...along with a alarm clock/sound system dock...and I hate that I am going to have to give up that flexibility to go Android....but I hate that the Iphone is not 4G capable. Haters gonna hate.

updated my 4,
Took about 30 minutes with syncing all my apps back and music.
I love the new organization with notifications and drop down menu at the home screen.
I could do without the Icloud seems like a hassle, but i like that i can sync my phone with computer through wifi without plugging it in.
I had my phone jailbroken at one point and it seems they are integrating a few of those options within the new o/s such as light up flash for phone calls and notications, drop down menus etc.
voice thingy is pretty cool, but i have sync in stang so its kinda unusable unless my fingers get lazy.

Market = Android. Over 100,000 devices are activated daily on the Android platform... while Apple may show a ton of profit, that leads me to my next point.
The Open Platform. Much like the Windows operating system, Android can be deployed by outdated companies (like Garmin and Casio) to in-house designed hardware. Dozens of companies can turn a new lease and saturate the market with awesome hardware and slap an OS on it. Easily put, Apple does not share -never has, never will. It has bit their butts before, and it will again. If you think about it a little deeper, Android creates more jobs than Jobs ever will.
I can keep going, but I dont want too.

This is my iphone, there are many like it but this one is mine.
different strokes for different folks.
Both phones are superior to each other no matter how to twist it.
