When will this start?

Not sure but im guessing once the iphone 4s is available. A hell of a "deal" for a "free" phone. I'd still be using my 3gs over my iphone 4 had I not broke it.

Edit: Just tried adding a line to my account and it'll allow me to get a 3gs for $0.00.

And $200 is a hell of a deal for a 1080p video recorder and pretty good 1.1 second-to-first-shot camera. Oh and it does other stuff too.

Huge waste of an upgrade and 2-yr contract if you ask me.

I'd suggest waiting until the spring, if you can, for WP8. It looks pretty damn good.

Expected response. That's most everyone's response and very few of them have much relevant experience with one. I love the clean, quick and simple concept; it's just a goddamned phone, I don't want to spend anymore time fucking around with it than I have to. If I want to geek out about rooting and spending hours fiddling with a phone, I've got my girlfriend's android to fuck around with.

Everything I've heard says later in 2012 and this damned go phone is driving me up a wall after just a month. I'm holding out for the Samsung Focus S and then I'll probably pull the trigger, so long as I can upgrade to 8 when it comes out.

If you want a phone to only call/text/web browse, then yess, that phone will work fine for you.
