  • Verizon LTE folks up in hurrrr.

When connected to an LTE tower, can you make voice calls and maintain the ability to use data?

My limited internet searching on the topic is failing.

I also heard that AT&T LTE is faster.

    Motoman, can you verify?

I read late last week that they're working to make this possible but it currently is not.

it's a deciding factor between getting the Prime on verizon, or T-mobile. Can you guess which of those two have a coverage area i don't want to be a member of?

      Damnit.

      Thanks for the link.

If you're able to wait a lil while, they should be rolling it out fairly soon.

So I wouldn't steer you wrong, I called to verify and it is live now. They have 4 devices that currently support Voice over LTE.

I know for a fact I can talk and surf on my Thunderbolt, I haven't paid attention to which network it's on but I've checked the weather and transferred funds through Chase during phone calls many times.

I remember my first time with 4G, over a year ago.

x2 I also have (and love) the tbolt. I can do anything with this (rooted) phone, and quickly. I probably won't upgrade for a while.
