  • Xbox Turtle Beach headset + HDMI

Ok fellow nerds, I finally hooked up my xbox with an HDMI (vs my trusty component) and ran a optical to my sony 5.1... Problem, now that my component (spelling?) cables are gone, I cant hook up my Turtle Beach X31's... They come in useful when im playing late at night and especially with the newborn here.

    Pick this up.

This will still allow the HDMI port to be used and has both optical and analog audio out. From what I've read, it will output both audio types simultaneously so you can just hook up the toslink and the headset to that adapter.

you actually can just cut the plastic/rubber boot off your factory plug and use it without waiting on shipping/pay for adapter. A little too late now, but for future knowledge that's the easiest fix.

On my Samsung DLP I just plugged the Headsets audio wires into the spot where it said "Audio out" works great. No adapter needed

That's what I did but for $3.xx, you don't have to butcher the OEM cable now.

My turtle beach x31's suck balls. I can always hear some kind of faint hiss or some other odd sound in the background. I won't be buying turtle beach again.

Crazy, other then the amount of batteries it burns though, I love mine. Excellent when playing FPS. Hear footsteps way before they make it aorund the corner.
