Now, I assume it's static because it's not a constant shock but I have plugged both a 360 controller and my phone into my USB ports on the front of the case.
Whenever I go somewhere else in apartment (carpet, no socks) and then come back and touch the bottom part of the controller where additional devices can plug into it, it will shock me. I will continue to touch it and it only does it once, same with my phone. On the side is the HDMI port, it shocked me through that.
Now....If it were a building grounding issue then I would assume it would shock me every time I touched it, also my surge protector light isn't lit up to indicate a building ground fault.
Is this just your normal static that is caused by walking in the house?
I don't seem to shock myself on anything else in apartment after walking around.
