BSOD Help

So I have a Toshiba satellite E205 that blue screens when I boot it and let it sit at idle and when I try to open a program...

I tried Blue screen view but I cant open the program before it Blue screens

Any tips?

What's the error? Or does it pass too fast for you to grab it?

Have you recently installed some new hardware, or updated the drivers? According to a quick Google search its an issue with a driver. I would suggest either uninstalling any updates, or use the system restore to restore to a point prior to the issue occuring.

In that case I woudl buy a new hard drive and reinstall Windows... get a SATA/IDE to USB adapter so that you can access your old files.

Check your memory if it has been getting progressively worse. That would be my first thought any way.

So, what is the best way to test the ram?

Reboot, tap F8 like trying to get in Safe Mode, select Windows Memory Diagnostic at the bottom. Try that first, this assumes you're on Vista or 7.
