So my wife's Lenovo ThinkPad took a shit. It was making a clicking noise and would not get past the ThinkPad loading screen. We took it to Best Buy and the tech up there said that it was the hard drive. He tested it and said that the "cluster would not engage"...so he woud not be able to retrieve any data from it. Is this the be all end all answer? She tons of things (music, work stuff, pics, etc etc) on there that she really wants/needs. I know, I know...she should have backed the stuff up somewhere..I told her that as well. But the damage is done and now I am looking for a better answer (if there is one) than "we can't do anything for you". TIA.
