iphone txt issues

Question for iphone users. I have a droid 2 on verizon, my buddy has a iphone 4 on AT&T. I get all his texts but he doesn't get any of mine I send for some reason. No other friends with iphones have this issue with my phone. Is their a a setting on iphone that can block txt from a specific number? Wondering if maybe he has that setting on.
