HP Laptop, no video on skype

So I recently installed skype but every time i try to load up the video call it says it cannot use my webcam and some other program is using it. I shut down everything I can think of and it still wont work. Its an older one (dv6646us) and cant find any new webcam drivers. Any suggestions?

There is probably a service running in the background that is using it.

OEM's generally have their own software field the webcam that will autostart w/the PC. I'm willing to bet that's your issue.
