Android app for closing apps

I'm sure there is an app for this, but I'm looking for an app that you can use to close out apps. I know when you hit home, back, etc... the app is still running in the background, which bogs down the phone a bit more. Anybody know of such an app you can use to shutdown background apps/processes?
