Are you playing the first one? If so, just wait until you start Mass Effect 2. Blows the first one out of the water. First one's story is amazing, but the combat is a little weak.

I'm playing the first one at the moment. I have the 2nd one ready to be opened as soon as I finish the first. Playing it on the 360. It's freaking amazing, the story is awesome. I'd say the fighting is pretty tactical, I find myself just running in guns blazing at times and dying immediately(that's the COD coming out of me). It's nice having to actually use strategy to kill the bad guys.

I'm ready to get home and play it!

The combat is a lot more intense in the second one. You don't have unlimited ammo, the customization of guns is done away with, but there different types of guns, and you find upgrades throughout the game to make them stronger. At first I didn't like the changes, but it actually helped me focus on the game itself more than having a billion upgrades in my inventory and having to turn most of them into omni-gel.

Is that what you do instead of selling them? Turn them into omni-gel? Should I start doing that?

In the middle of missions when I didn't really have a chance to sell them, that's what I would do. If I could sell them, I would. That way I could pretty much get everybody the Spectre grade weapons. You get so much stuff though, that it's hard to be in a position to sell it mid-mission. There are like 10 or more levels of each upgrade.

I started playing this game, but lost interest....

Seemed to involved and slow, or maybe I'm missing a simple concept... Like wtf is omni-gel?

It's incredibly involved. And there are some slow points(ELEVATORS). You use omni-gel to do different things throughout the game- decryptions, repairs, etc...

Omni-gel was actually great if you got tired of the same decryption shit over and over. The only bad thing was that you're probably opening a container that has more of the same shit you already have, so you just turn it into more omni-gel. A lot of the kinks were worked out for the second one. From what I've seen and heard, the third one should be fucking amazing. They added a melee weapon that is essentially like a plasma sword from Halo, I think they're adding attachments to weapons as well.

I have most of the DLC for both games and you have to be careful. Any actions you make in teh first carry to the second and anyone who dies, stays dead. And anything you do in 2 carries over to 3. Even if you kill shephard.

How can you kill Shepard considering you're Shepard, and if you die, it's game over?
