So I started this a few days ago, and found out there are a few expansion packs. This is the first of this kind of game I've ever gotten into and I want to know if I need to get these add-ons and start over before I get too deep into the game? Everyone says they are worth getting, but I don't want to have to replay the entire game just for the expansion packs...please pardon my ignorance.

The only one worth getting is The Shivering Isles. It can easily add another 15-20 hours of gameplay. It's completely seperate from the main storyline so you can do it anytime. I would recommend doing it before you get too far though because there are some awesome items that you can't find in the normal game that will help you out a lot. DawnFang/DuskFang is easily the best sword in the game, and you can also find some really good armor and other items."Any dog under 50lbs is a cat and cats are pointless." - Ron Swanson

I hope you have a lot of time to dedicate to that game. You can spend hours on that game and not accomplish much.Originally posted by JesterEvery time you see the fucking guy....show him your fucking dick.. Just whip out your hawg and wiggle it in his direction, put it away, call him a fuckin meatgazer, shoot him the bird and go inside.

I love that game but man can you get side tracked!
You'll be out looking for some root or plant or something and stumble across a cave, sweet I'll just check this out real quick. Go inside and get lost wandering around for an hour, find a man trapped in the cave who needs you to get something that should be easy to find and bring it back, ok sure I'll just do that real quick. Get to town to retrieve key and meet a man who only needs a small favor, ok sure I'll do that real quick. Meanwhile it's been 3 days and you haven't gotten anything done, lol.Originally posted by Nash B.Damn, man. Sorry to hear that. If it'll cheer you up, Geor swallows. And even if it doesn't cheer you up, it cheers him up.

You do that by giving one of the hobos in the capital some money. They should give you a letter telling you to be somewhere at midnight or something. You'll meet a black dude, and after you complete the quest (extremely short), you'll be a member of the guild. You can buy lockpicks from that black guy. Pick locks is a bitch at times, but for easy lock, just keep knocking the pins up. You'll sometimes they'll go up super slow. Just hit whatever button you need to when they're all the way at the top when they go up slow.

If your having troublw picking locks you can always save before you do it and then re-load the game if you break a bunch of picks. It might take extra time but if that doesn't bother you you could theoretically go throught the game with only one lock pick. Also if there is a quest in the game where the reward is a skeleton key that can't be broken. I can't remember if it's from the thieves guild or what, I seem to remember it having to do with a shrine or something?Originally posted by Nash B.Damn, man. Sorry to hear that. This is some info I found on it
You have to complete Nocturnal's Daedric quest. You have to be at least level 10 to start though.
Nocturnal's Shrine is located northeast of Leyawiin, and you can see where it is exactly on this map:
Here is a link to website that has a lot of info for the game
