I will raise hell with customer service until they cancel my service if they think they're just gonna switch and charge differently/more halfway through.
I read somewhere that it wouldn't make any sense if they didn't grandfather you in. Which it doesn't. But my contract ends September. I have been less than impressed with verizon lately. I would probably give sprint and the htc evo a shot.

I'm running a DroidX with little problems. I did once have problems like you're mentioning and quickly figured out it was an app I was running. (I like to experiment) Keep that in mind, especially if those problems happen after using an app, getting an alert from an app...etc.

Ive heard verizon is dropping the unlimited plan as well. But all the companies that start tiered service plans always say it only affects 1% of customers that are sucking up the bandwidth from tethering or other things. I stream internet radio 8 hrs a day at work, which sucks a lot of data. I wonder how much data i'm using per month and if i will get screwed by their new plans.

My Thunderbolt is more reliable than my Incredible was, battery life is okay as long as you get the settings right. Still every once in a while I have to turn the radio off and back on to get it to start transferring data again. Which is better than the incredible that needed a complete reboot.

Also the battery overheats and won't take a charge if you are streaming sling. That's a PITA. I can get about two hours of it though before it goes dead.

I don't know what Verizon is going to do, but AT&T ditched unlimited data a while back. However, if you're grandfathered in, you're grandfathered in. I still have unlimited, and will as long as my contract doesn't lapse. Just have to keep an eye on it. I'm certain Verizon would do the same thing.
