Android vs iphone

I have the Droid2 on verizon. This phone is the biggest pile of shit i have ever owned, it takes a lot of patience every day for me not to smash this phone into pieces. I have to do a battery pull reset 5 times a day, it sucks at surfing the internet (slow/lockups), sucks at sending emails, apps dont always work, camera/vid camera quality is complete useless shit, its very slow to run anything, and it locks up all the time no matter what function you are doing.

Basically i want to know if all these issues i'm having problems with the Android OS or just motorola making shit for phones?

Does the iphone have issues like this? I'm trying to decide whether to get a new 4g Android phone or get an iphone.

My first Android based phone is the Evo4g and I have not had a single lick of problems with it.

If you want to stay on Verizon look at the new 4G phones. The thunderbolt is supposed to be a pretty decent phone. If you want to switch to Sprint then look at the Evo but it wont be as quick as Verizon's 4G service.

But yeah, the droid 2 is a POS. It came out right after the Droid X and was inferior in almost every respect. I dont know why people bought that thing.

cool, thanks guys. I'll stick with Android then. Looking up some reviews on phones, and looks like people are saying to wait for a true dual core 4G phone (ie, droid bionic) or similar which should be out in a few months.

While a dual core is nice and all, very few apps can use it. Just food for thought.

Personally Im a huge fan of Motorola devices over HTC and I know its not the norm. I dont know what the deal is with your device, perhaps an app is corrupted somehow?

Droid X and 2 have the same performance specs basically and I love mine to death. It was great unrooted in stock form and now that its rooted and ROMd its phenomenal.

My first android was an hero and I sold it to a buddy and he still has not any problems. I now have an evo for about a year now and absolutely love it. I use an Iphone 3gs as an ipod (because I got it for free) and it glitches and runs slow a lot. For me the android base is a lot easier to use and I love how it is fully customizable where the Iphone is really really limited in that area

There has gotta be some way to get out of your contract if they all of a sudden spring on you that you have to start paying by the MB. Or maybe you get grandfathered in until you re-up? There is no way I will be staying with them if they switch. I will raise hell with customer service until they cancel my service if they think they're just gonna switch and charge differently/more halfway through.
