  • Android phone charging issue

This happened once about a month ago, then it the phone worked properly after being on a charger for about 20 minutes. This time, it has not worked.

I fell asleep with my Fascinate off of the charger. When I woke up, I placed the now dead phone onto the wall charger, and it began flashing the between the "off" screen and the large battery (with what would normally be a charging dial).

Now it has been plugged in for an hour with no change in status.

Phone has not been rooted, and overall has been pretty solid.

Anyone have any ideas besides go to verizon so they can hard reset it?

One of my coworkers had his Craptivate replaced for the third time for a similar issue. The carrier tried a different battery and charger then deemed it a hardware failure.

Have you done the obvious and checked the battery contacts, is the charger port loose?

Usually if the phone is under a year old with no physical damage it can be replaced under warranty through tmobile, see if verizon will do that for you. I don't see why they wouldn't.

Charger and port are clean and clear.

I'm about to go back to a shitty old Nokia brick phone. Seriously.

every HTC android phone I've had has had battery issues. I've had to buy batteries for all of them. My G2 also acts like a fucking retard when it's plugged in and fully charged

My android phones have never worked right when they're plugged in, as far as actual usage. Touchscreen responds wrong, opens the wrong apps, etc.

Check out the Thunderbolt if you go to the verizon store.

I've seen PLENTY of fucked up iPhones, as I have Android stuff. none of these phones are perfect.

Mine decided to work today when I went and plugged it into the car charger.
