What can I do with a spare iphone 3g?

Friend of mine is giving me her old 3G iphone. It has a cracked screen so she went and got a 4g(Im going to replace the screen). Im not gonna use it as a phone just as an Itouch. I was looking for different things to do to it and was wondering if any iphone savy people had any suggestions.
There's an app to change the os to andriod that looks neat and I found another site saying you could over clock the processor. I do plan on getting a obd2 cable so I can read codes on vehicles.
Any other suggestions?

Who do you know that can replace the screen? My wife's old phone has a bad display. The glass is not cracked, just showing a completely white screen...
