Next Call of Duty...

...is supposed to be Modern Warfare 3

Was curious and started looking around. Not much on it yet, but they're saying it will be a new Modern Warfare put out by mostly the same people as Modern Warfare 2. Also said they are expecting it to be around November when it is actually released. That's still a ways away, but i'm already getting excited. I loved Black Ops, but always felt that Modern Warfare 2 was a better game and had a superior online set-up. Hopefully the new MW3 will be more like MW2 than BO. The way they make the COD games is by trading off between two production companies so that they have 2 years to work on them rather than 1. So it should be alot like MW2 style.

Hadnt heard anything about it, so just looked up what I could find. Says the lawsuit was between Activision and its old top-dogs. Somethin about the game quality vs faster production argument. Doesn't sound great, hopefully they won't screw up the game quality trying to push out games too fast. Honestly if they just took MW2, upgraded it a little, and started keeping tabs on on-line play again I would be more than happy. I miss the MW2 style of game play and the modern weapons. Either way it didn't say anything about if anyone won or not, but the two guys gettin sued were behind most of MW2. Says it's mostly about money though, so hopefully it won't change much.

I was still playing MW2 over Black Ops, but hacking has gotten so bad since they stopped monitoring it that it's not worth it anymore. I'm just letting Black Ops hold me over till the new MW3 comes out, but I don't play it near as much as MW2, it's just not the same.

MW2 to me was way better than black ops. And if infinity ward doesn't make MW3 looks like battlefield 3 will be getting my online time!!

The new game is being developed by a company called sledgehammer in conjunction with treyarch for online multiplayer. This is what I had heard last, not too sure on the validity of this info though. I had also read that Treyarch helped create the online multiplayer for MW2. Again, I am unsure about the validity of this. But if that is the case then I really wonder what the multiplayer will be like for the next MW.

It just depends on how fast paced you like your game. MW2 is insanely fast paced. BO is calmed down a bit.
