  • trojan got in thru MSE and avast.

I was able to restore my solid state disk that only had windows and primary software on it but my second HDD had all my downloaded programs and setup files(java/flash/games etc)

I can not see anything inside of my E: drive other than that it is half full, no files or folders are visable.

My motherboard came with an alternate linux based OS that i booted and it shows the disk empty also.

Is there any way to repair the damage that the trojan caused?

Dl hirens boot disk and fix the partition table after you verify that it's clean.

I did the free registry reviver and it did NOT restore my ability to access data in my secondary HDD. They say they can also fix 3 additional low priority registry errors for $30. Not sure it is worth that.

Don't buy it. YOu sure your files aren't marked hidden?

if they are there, then highlight them, right click on one, hit prop. then uncheck the hidden checkbox.

copied E: into another disk and the folder shows xxgigs used, but does not show the icons or allow me to /run.

Files are not hidden, just not accessable.
