My coworker did. I bought another gun instead.

I'll get him to post tomorrow. I know he likes it.

I have the ASUS Transformer. I've had it for about a month now. I really like it. I just got the Honeycomb 3.1 update and I think its fixed the couple small issues that I've had.

Occasionally the tablet would slow down a little, but restarting would fix it, although I haven't had this problem since the 3.1 update but its only been a couple of days. The battery life isn't as good as an iPad or iPad 2 but it lasts me several days.

1080p and 720p high profile h264 video is choppy. This is the format the majority of the movies you download are in. You can convert them and they are fine. There is debate on whether this is a software issue and can be patched eventually or just a limitation of the Nvidia Tegra 2 processor.

Flash in the browser works great but 720p youtube is little choppy in the browser, but fine in the youtube app.

There is no notification light to let you know it is charging, but turning the screen on you can see an icon in the corner. The charging connector is propreitery so don't lose the cable. Charging with the official charger AC adapter is pretty much the only way. You can charge via usb plugged into your computer but it only charges when the screen is off and it does so very slowly.

I know it sounds like I have a lot of issues with it but really they are just nit picks. 99% of the time I absolutely love it. I think the fact that it is Android is the biggest selling point. With the iPad you are locked into buying iPads forever or all your app purchases are worthless, with Android there are many more options and form factors of tablets to choose from.

I don't have the keyboard dock but may get it at some point in the future. I haven't tried the HDMI mirroring yet, need to get a mini hdmi cable but am waiting until i need to order some other stuff from monoprice.

Basically if you have an iPhone and a Mac and you love them then get an iPad, otherwise take a good look at Android tablets.

The new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 also looks like a fantastic option. The Samsung is thinner, lighter, and has a slightly better screen, but it lacks HDMI and microSD. It is also $100 more than the Transformer.

I've pretty much made my mind up that I want the ASUS - all the reviews are great, even compared to the Samsung Gtab 10.1. I should have bought it last night, Amazon had it for $399 and today it is showing $449.

$399 is the MSRP for the 16GB. The ones for more than that aren't sold by amazon but other companies that sell through amazon. Don't pay anymore than $399 + shipping/tax. I was lucky and got mine instore at Frys in Plano.

The one I saw last night said the retailer was Amazon instead of another store. Today, the same link is $449.

i wanna root my wife's nook color, but she likes having it linked to B&N so she can get her books and magazine subscriptions delivered and auto charge her credit card. If i root it, she cant do that anymore, can she?

I'm normally not one to complain about a price especially something as minuscule as $50. Just wondering if there is there any use in complaining about the overnight $50 bump in price($50 over MSRP, btw)?

Bestbuy has them listed at $399 but out of stock - Amazon says they have 16 left.

The only saving grace is this is just a toy, not a NEED - so it can wait if need be.

Yes she can, I have mine rooted but it still retains all the B&N functionality

not sure if anyone is looking for one of these anymore, but a buddy of mine called, his store (tigerdirect at springvalley and tollway) gotta couple of transformers in stock today.

he said he held one for me but i don't want it anymore. if anyone is looking for one today, it's all yours. just give him a ring first to make sure he's not sold out by the time you get there. his name is john.
