Just health and fitness. Nutrition is part of both

I disagree about the nutrition being a part of it all, while it is important, you can still maintain fitness and achieve weight loss without proper nutrition. I work with a guy who lost 100 pounds, but still eats shitty.

Greg doesn't eat clean, but still holds powerlifting records.

To me nutrition is just as much it's own part, as fitness, and general health.

Its been 'pumpin iron' for as long as I can remember it, I don't see a need to change it so why bother? Anyone who is interested in the nutrition bit, will most likely be in here for exercise advice anyhow.

While it may be true that you can achieve weight loss without proper nutrition, proper nutrition is definitely essential in weight loss and achieving your maximum results.
Hence the reason you are "dieting" now.

Question...What does powerlifting have to do with nutrition?

I Think you're confused...actually I know you are haha. Health is a function of more than just strength or weight loss. Health includes nutrition...nitrition doesn't include strength and weight loss.

It doesn't, that was my point, that "fitness" did not necessarily have to contain nutrition.

I agree 100 percent that it's essential, which is why i'm all for keeping it in the name.
