I honestly never had a drinking problem, it never controlled my life. I went out, i drank and socialized, I even binged drank at times.

But alcohol has never controlled me, I've never had the shakes from not having alcohol. I don't even keep alcohol in my own house, never really have, unless other people brought it over, or there was a party there. I quit cold turkey because I wanted to make bigger strides in achieving my goals, and I knew the excess calories from alcohol weren't going to help. It's also much easier to quit smoking when not drinking.

But I will still have an occassional drink, I just don't see myself ever going back to the the way I drank in the past, I just don't have a reason to spend my time in bars like I used to. I'm finishing school, and working on my health and hapiness, reading more, and trying to heal my ADD and psoriasis through natural ways.

I did go to The Back Nine last night for 3-4 hours with my friends, and socalized, and hung out while drinking water and eating a salad.

We all have own definitions of alcoholism, kinda like we all have our own definitions of "in shape".
One thing that I did notice after I quit drinking is that I got really bored going out to bars and I actually ditched most of my old friends because they said I became boring, when in fact...I was bored with them.

Wierd, I enjoyed a nice evening with GC2, Chili, Leah, Christian and his wife, Marty, Hollywood, Nate and a friend of his, at a bar, sitting on the patio, enjoying the weather and talking with friends.

I don't consider any of them drunken asshats, and I was sober.

I guess it's your perspective on things, but I've never had a problem being sober around people drinking, and I don't assume that if someone is drinking that they are a drunk or drunken asshat for having a few.

Exactly. I don't what kind of bizarre fucking vibe is going on in this thread about drinking but it sounds like a bunch of horseshit to me.

Stangin4lyfe, if you think you had a drinking problem then you did. That pretty much sums it up but it means little beyond your experience. I hope that makes sense.

I'm talking about the hammered, belligerent sorts like Ryan B or Brent..

I don't have a problem with casual drinking at all as long as one doesn't drive afterwards at least right away after drinking. If they wait awhile and eat something, I'm ok with it.


I just don't personally drink much at all because I don't like that drunk or buzzed feeling. Getting sick isn't fun and my body feels the drinking really easily.

I'm betting his ego forced him to delete it. He deleted all kinds of posts in that thread that made him look like an asshat. But a guy came in, 30+ days layer and had some good advice. I was trying to find that post because I didn't get to read the whole thing.


Any way a mod can bring it back or pm me what the next to last post was? I think it was samuel46000 or something like that.

Wasn't me but I think the jist of it was for FFC to control himself in every aspect of life, since his actions are the one thing he can always control.
