I also posted this in the home improvement sections but for different reasons.
We have tons of workout equipment at the house, but I am wanting to take a more unconventional approach. This is not a debate over traditional versus multipurpose workouts and approaches or what is better, I am just wanting to get ideas for outdoor workouts and what equipment and options would be best fit for multipurpose activities. It is so cheap to build these areas with 4x4 posts and concrete i want to do it.
I have a large area i think will be perfect between my back patio and detached garage.
I am thinking of having:
a set of monkey bar rungs 8-12 of them
an eight foot wall to try to go over the top of
a set of parallel bars
thinking of making a small version of a rock wall with multiple hand and foot holds across it
Tall straight bar for the obvious and to use our TRX with and rings
having a large tractor tire
Already have plyo boxes that I think could work into with the area
climbing rope
Obviously I will not have all of this but what suggestions do you guys have as far as a good multipurpose area. Really thinking of like a small obstacle course that hits the entire body well. What should and should not be used.
