Yes, the have every right to be there and I try not to bitch about people too much but sometimes they're funny, sometimes they're just annoying. I went pretty late tonight to avoid traffic. Showed up about 9pm and it's still pretty busy...damn. A couple that got on my nerves were the ones that were just sitting on equipment,

Clear definition of one that has a giant, smarmy douchebag like ego problem overshadowed by a massive insecurity complex.

I think there is a hurt feelings form out there on the internet somewhere. I can link it if you can't find it. You can fill one out and PM it to me, and I'll make sure it gets routed to the appropriate channels.

However, if you want to head things up, I can support that. It's all good by me.

I'll be happy supporting the contestants in any way they want or desire. I'll come run with them. Heck I'll come flip tractor tires with them. I don't care, whatever it takes. I've got bikes I can lend out to anyone that wants to try that. I've got access to a heated indoor pool if anyone wants to give it a try.

My point still stands. Nothing in any of these new fad workout programs is new or worth spending any money on. You can get all of the information and exercises for free. Motivation has to come from within.

What I take exception to is the "we invented the right way to do it philosophy." If being called out on that hurts you feelings, so you call me immature, fine by me. I still know the truth, and ultimately so do you.

If you have trouble finding the hurt feelings form, let me know. I'll hold your hand and guide you to it.
I don't want to get in the middle of all this BUT I can assure you that-
        1. You did not hurt Justin's feelings!!
        2. All this, whatever you want to call it.. IS childish
        3. There's different strokes for different folks,if crossfit works for people and helps them stay motivated, then hell... let them do it so they will be the healthiest they can be. There's no need to judge, put down, etc about anyone doing anything, we need to help-not put down.
        4. Justin is a good guy,I don't understand why you'd be picking any "fight" with him,he's helped a lot of people(including MYSELF) stay motivated,find supplements,give advice,etc etc...
        5. Like I said in # 3- everyone is different and not ALL people have motivation from within, they feed off others and if working out with other people does the trick-then so be it! I know I push myself harder when I am working out with someone.

I'm not going to say any more- I've probably said enough. I'm not wanting to get into any of this.. So continue on...

Just for some perspective, here is a short video of TJ Murphy, the Editor of "Competitor" (running and triathletes) magazine. It was posted yesterday on the journal and I found it relevant to any tris or runners that might find it useful.

You are right everyone is different. Yes working out with others can even push you harder. Racing pushes people hard too. Most people have at least a tiny bit of a competitive streak inside somewhere.

I'm glad Justin has helped you and others. That was never anything I wondered about or even argued about. It was something someone else brought into the topic.

I just wanted to see if someone wanted to try their hand at something different. I wanted to see how a high level of fitness in an unrelated discipline transferred to something else. It might have actually been fun.

I do hope you are taking good care of your sciatic nerve too. This is a very serious issue and you need to be really careful. I do not want you to get hurt. Honestly, I would be very scared if I ever had to experience even a tinge of a problem in this area. I've seen what this can do to someone firsthand.

If you feel any pain in your legs from this nerve, please stop whatever you are doing immediately. Do not think you can work through it. This is not a cramp or simple muscle pain that will just go away.

I am a bit hard headed when it comes to putting a things on hold when I'm in pain(I've always tried to work throught it or work the pain out,)but after talking with some people.. I definitely do not want to end up having surgery if I injure it more. I took today off because I'm hurting REALLY bad(last night my salon was crazy busy so that didn't help.)

That makes me RAWR especially since we only have 4 of the good treads now since 2 broke and knowing 24 hour fitness, it will not be fixed untill sometime after 2012.
I've actually stiopped running soo much because the cardio equipment is soo bad now I feel that I could really hurt myself running on a 12 or 14 pace and I'm trying to bulk on 5k-6k calories a day.. Well, I just do 3 miles in 20 minutes which is slightly faster then the average SEAL BUDs do.

Don't flatter yourself, most regular Marines do it in about 18 minutes. The last phase in BUDs you have to run a 4 mile timed run and you only have 28 minutes to finish, and all finish it faster than that.
