Your immaturity level sure is showing.
I think there is a hurt feelings form out there on the internet somewhere. I can link it if you can't find it. You can fill one out and PM it to me, and I'll make sure it gets routed to the appropriate channels.
However, if you want to head things up, I can support that. It's all good by me.
I'll be happy supporting the contestants in any way they want or desire. I'll come run with them. Heck I'll come flip tractor tires with them. I don't care, whatever it takes. I've got bikes I can lend out to anyone that wants to try that. I've got access to a heated indoor pool if anyone wants to give it a try.
My point still stands. Nothing in any of these new fad workout programs is new or worth spending any money on. You can get all of the information and exercises for free. Motivation has to come from within.
What I take exception to is the "we invented the right way to do it philosophy." If being called out on that hurts you feelings, so you call me immature, fine by me. I still know the truth, and ultimately so do you.
If you have trouble finding the hurt feelings form, let me know. I'll hold your hand and guide you to it.

I think the "we showed everyone how to do it right" comment was quite self explanatory. Apparently, you missed it or didn't understand it.

I went back and reiterated what I meant and even apologized for how it came across.
That is how adults resolve issues.
All you have done is show everyone on this forum what a whiny little child you are...and everyone can see it.Last edited by Flashstang04; 02-05-2011, 08:14 AM.

Want to talk about the same old things..... are we gonna race? You've got your chance to put up or shut up. So step up if P90X, crossfit and Insanity are so bad ass. Surely you can whip me good at any race I pick due to your superior fitness.
Or maybe, you'll just continue to make personal attacks instead.
I've been on amateur sports teams. You can get a better work out than any of those program by joining BUDS, and you can get paid to do it too.
There is nothing new or groundbreaking in any of these programs. There is however a lot of frothing at the mouth from the idiot followers of each of these programs.

These guys are in the best over all shape out of anyone else I know, so if crossfit is something they suggest, it obviously works.
I still would like to see how 100% crossfit training translates into sports such as racing. Unfortunately no one is willing to do that without calling anyone a lot of names and pitching a fit.
Outside of professional athletes, yes the BUDS guys are in the best shape of nearly anyone on Earth. Their lives depend on it.

The thing with crossfit is it provides a great base for overall conditioning and strength training. If you have no specific goal in mind other then being in better shape then it very good for that. It's also something that's very good to work in your normal training, it's just going to make you better.

I'm just shocked instead of taking me up on the challenge, they immediately resorted to personal barbs and insults and all backed out. That was the real shocker if you ask me. People have been racing for thousands of years and having fun doing it.
I just wanted to see how crossfit translates into endurance racing firsthand. Sadly there are no takers.
I still think crossfit is a fad workout and will be gone along with zoomba in 10 years. It's a lot like all the other fad workouts you see come and go. Anything in any of these fad programs can be had for free at your public library or on the internet. If saying that makes me a bad person, so be it. It however does not make me any of things claimed in this thread.

Do you all have secret prayer meetings where you kneel before Jane Fonda in her stripped tights and say Hail to Aerobics? Crossfit is from the same lineage.Originally posted by AnthonyS View PostYou're clearly the one with the ego problem though. So do we have a challenge yet?Originally posted by AnthonyS View Post

*sigh...why do you keep coming back to this thread? Aren't you running a contest? Running is your thing, no? Personally, I think it's a fad. Nobody will be running this time next year.
Again, you get more opinions that are correct, and yet throw it back in their faces.

And I'm fat and out of shape by their standards.
