    For someone here trying to "help" and run a contest for the board, AnthonyS you really come accross as a holier than thou, I know everything about working out, ASS.

    Stop with your stupid, "wanna race" mentality. Take a break, breathe, and realize that no matter what you are doing, as long as you are out there burning some calories, and feeling better about yourself, you're doing it right.

    Are there more effective ways to train for specific results, sure, but don't act like you're the end all be all of fitness because you lost 30-40 pounds and can now run a 5K. I know 300 pound people that complete 5K's too.

    Yet anohter reason you only have 4-5 people in the contest. Last year when I ran it, we had over 20 people in it.

    BTW, because of your attitude, I would never buy anything from you.

      Man this got ugly...guys crossfit doesn't claim to be the first and any athlete knows better ways to train. Crossfit is just beneficial to overall health for those that aren't nearly as experienced as a well trained athlete. Of course it's just an iteration of the same stuff that's been going on for years. But it is effective for some. The reason people claim it to be the best is because it's typically people that don't have much experience in other areas and aren't educated enough to know better. They just know it works and works well.

      Challenging someone to a race is by no means a measure of overall physical fitness.

        Everyone has their opinions, and everyone can find facts to back up those opinions. I would agree though, this "Meet me after school" mentality to race proves what exactly?

        This does not reflect well on someone wanting to head up the transformation contest.

            No it's really just a different method to reach a personal goal. If you really just want to race I'll race you in a 5K, the 40, the 100, the 200, the quarter, then well lift weights. Well do the three core powerlifting events. If you beat me in any two events I'll claim you correct in some of what you've said.

            Then we can hit a boxing ring and see whos in ring shape.

            I'm saying this to help you catch a point. Your goals aren't the same as everyone elses.

              Or maybe, you'll just continue to make personal attacks instead.

              I've been on amateur sports teams. You can get a better work out than any of those program by joining BUDS, and you can get paid to do it too.

              There is nothing new or groundbreaking in any of these programs. There is however a lot of frothing at the mouth from the idiot followers of each of these programs.

                  Exactly, there are millions of ways to get fit. Flipping tractor tires is just one of them. It isn't the holy grail of fitness.
