there's plenty of stuff out there that he can try that might taste good to him.

I don't like any of those veggies either, but there's plenty i do.

    Baby spinach is your friend.

Not sure if your post was sarcastic or not...but I love everything that I eat and I eat plenty healthy.
      It definitely can be done!

Shoot...I'm up now eating 2lbs of grilled La Michoacana chicken breasts, 8oz's of organic boiled carrots, organic blueberry Greek yogurt, and some natural lemon protein bars that I made over the weekend for b-fast!

1lb of very thinly sliced chicken breast meat between 2 pieces of potatoe bread is brunch.

No not sarcastic...peoPle get caught up in buying food for flavor all too much. I'm not saying healthy stuff tastes bad...it just takes awhile to adapt when you're used to getting your bacon cheese burger for 1.99.

When you start buying food for what it's true need is, then it's much easier to control diet. This has always helped me when I was trying to cut weight for powerlifting or simply trying to cut up.

Sliced chicken between potatoe bread sounds just as tasty as my endless stock of grilled chicken and beef jerkey. You just can't compare it to the fast food most are used to.

I'm curious - You folks that don't like vegetables, why? Were you not forced to eat them as a child, so you're still in that routine? Were you maybe forced to eat too many veggies growing up, so now you don't like them? Is it a texture thing, or a taste thing?

Growing up, we had an empty plate rule. We had to eat it all, no matter what was put on the table, or we got our asses busted. We weren't ever given the option to be picky about what vegetables/food we ate. I didn't like it as a kid, but as an adult, I'm glad they made us eat them. I love most veggies. There are still a couple I don't care for, but it's pretty limited to collard greens, and sauer krat. Just curious.

Brent, I'm not sure what it is, but a lot of the veggies I do like, people typically don't. I'm assuming it's a combination of texture/taste for me, squashes, asparagus, caulliflower, broccolli, etc i just can't eat. I guess I COULD eat if it was my only option, but as long as there is an option, i'll pass.

                Peppers, onions, mushrooms, spinach, etc.

For me I guess I look for the most bang for the buck. I can eat 5 cups of baby spinach and get 4g Carbs, 4g protein, and 30 calories. It's good solid filler food along with lean protein.

Not a huge fan of broccoli either, but broccolini with a bit of Mrs. Dash spicy is tolerable. I don't like the heartiness of the broccoli stems. I've never been a fan of cauliflower, either.

grilled squash, zucch, and asparagus is the tits though.

I don't care for peas, and only like broccoli or cauliflower if its raw, but anything else is fair game.

Just about every meal I cook from an omlette to a salad, etc has the same veggie content.

If cooked, peppers (green, red, yellow, orange, jalapeno, cerano, etc)
onions (white, yellow, 1040, purple, green, shallots)
                      garlic
mushrooms (mostly button, but I need to get back into branching out my shrooms)

                      Raw:
onions, peppers, spinach, banana peppers, pickled jalapenos, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, olives, pickles, carrots, sprouts.

I really try to stay away from starches at this point, although they are probably some of the tastiest.

I'm really picky on peas, i really only like the LeSeur brand early peas.

This thread reminds me, i've got some fresh green beans in the fridge, i'll have to blanch then grill tonight to go with my chicken and brown rice

Believe it or not, but I do eat quite a bit of veggies too.
I mainly eat mushrooms, all kinds of peppers, asparagus, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, peas, and a bit of spinach.

                          Just cooked these last weekend...

I guess I don't know "why", but I do know that I don't like the taste of a lot of them and I have texture issues with some things too...

Items I eat: peas, beans, corn, baby spinach, raw carrots, cucumber, pickle, maybe a few more

Items I do not eat: cooked spinach, cooked carrots, asparagus, broccoli, squash, zucchini, onions, red/green/bell/yellow peppers, cauliflower, mushrooms, olives, collard greens, sweet potato, eggplant, brussel sprouts, beets, yams, cabbage, etc
