I used to do Tri's back before i had a real job. Last one i did was a Half Iron (Ironstar) in conroe almost a decade ago. lol. Not long after that i started working 40 hr weeks, then became a truck driver and that was about the end of my fitness career. Now that I'm an engineer in the oil field i have more time at home and i've thought about training for some olympic distance Tri's or something. I miss my Quintana Roo.

Last year was my first year and I learned to do a lot on little sleep, not ideal. I worked an average of 60 hours and trained 12-16 hours a week. This year I am cutting back on work so I do not get burned out, training is a relief.
I have a 2012 P2 for sale...

Now you guys are talking about the hard stuff, balancing real life with training. 2014 is a new year to try again. I work 50 hrs or so, have kids, two houses (dont ever do this), a pool (time and money pit) too many other hobbies and travel out of the country for work..... And I'd like to train 8-15 hrs a week too.
Have fun and be safe.
