  • Sleep Aid?

    Obviously sleep is very important when it comes to building and recovery. But alot of times if I workout late i'm a bit wired for a few hours and am not getting enough sleep.

    Over the counter sleep aids from walgreens always, and i mean always give me restless leg syndrome. I'll fall asleep with an hour and wake up in 3hrs with restless legs.

    Any suggestions? Grayhorse?

    my buddy says he takes Shut-Eye by Fusion. Anyone else have first hand experience?

      Get a bottle of melatonin, it's in the vitamin section and will help knock you out.

              I cant sleep period. On prescription pills i sleep for a week and them im used to them.

              I force myself to go to sleep, or i can always find something todo at night. Durring the day im bored as hell. At night im on the move.

              Working out has made it worse, as like you im wired even from a 5pm workout and sleep at 10.

              Make your room as cold as you can get it. We keep our house at 65 in the winter and its the best sleep i get.

                Turn on pandora add zen garden as a station n take the melatonin. If you take a stimulant to work out there's no hope.

                  You might add done valerian root to that melatonin. It's a natural anxiolytic.

                      If you're taking any stimulants before working out, make sure you're taking them before 4pm.

                      I've also found that creating a good sleeping environment leads to better sleep. Dark room, no TV, no music, etc.

                      Or you can just get stoned

                        i've moved my workouts to in the morning and its made all the difference. working out in the morning (for me) is so much better. enerygy throughout the day, metabolism spike, just feels awesome. and i'm able to fall asleep by 930 and sleep great.
