If I go I will be doing the 63. Will probably be a last minute call on my for me. May just train over here that day depending on what I have on my training schedule.
Only a couple of days away. I will be on a black speciallized wearing black and blue shorts with a yellow and blue team fiat jersey. There were over 2000 cyclists last year, so it may be hard to meet up with anyone who makes it out
My Dad and I rode the 21. Completed in 1:31.49 at an average of 13.8 mph.
I suffered a flat about 6 miles in. We had just gotten into a good rhythm too. We passed up the first rest stop and made the 21 mile cut off. I pulled ahead of my Dad quite a bit. We stopped at the second stop at about 14 miles, grabbed some fruit and tore out for the finish. With the tail wind we knocked out the last 7 miles in a hurry. It was the best hour and a half I have spent with my Dad since I was a kid. It was a great feeling crossing the finish line with him having watched him ride so many times when I was younger.
I probably could have made the 31, but it was more about riding and finishing with my dad. My next door neighbor was the first to the finish in the 21 mile
