Most places do stress form. Why would they want people using shitty form, get hurt, and quit? The problem is that some people aren't very coachable. One of the girls at the one I was at had pretty much been there from day 1, but has shitty form when lifting and it's one of the main reasons that she would never increase her max lifts. She knew it, the coach knew it, and no matter how much everybody tried to help her, she wouldn't get better. Her knees bend in really bad with any squat movement. She's smart enough to know not to increase the weight with that, most people aren't.

Yet every time I see something on Form/injuries/CF I see "I see/hear about all these injuries etc at other places" so leads me to believe there are several places that don't stress form and instead have people push thru the workout to complete it.

Lack of knowledge that the form is shitty? Easy level 1 certification? No real checks and balances?

I'm not saying your box is different...but everyone's box can't be the exception...

100's of 1000's of people do crossfit. Anytime somebody gets hurt is because crossfit sucks and form isn't stressed. Do the math. People get hurt walking every day. With so many people doing it, at some point an injury will occur.

I think I now know 12 people that have gotten hernias from Crossfit, most played sports in high school and never did. It is a combination of bad form, bad teaching, and fatigue. I do know of several great places to go out there but too many people I know have had bad injuries.

Great concept/idea just poorly executed. Grew too quick with all the money flowing in.

Played sports in high school compared to age now? Again, if you don't listen to your body you're gonna get injured, especially with something like a hernia.
