Does anyone use one? I have been thinking about picking one up. I think it will help give me some relief from my back pain.

If you have one, what is it?

I am going to start watching CL and hope I can get a decent deal. Anything to stay away from?

I have a Teeter 650 model, I think. It's very well made and it does help relieve some stress on my lower back. Seems to loosen it up when I hang for a few minutes.

Does it give a lasting effect? I am 8 months post op from a microdiscectomy at l3/l4. I am having some issues with lingering pain

It has helped me quite a bit. I was having what I believe to be a compressed or possibly herniated disc issues in my lower back (though never diagnosed). I was getting pain/tingling in my hip and legs. Hanging has completely removed this. At first I would hang a few times per day, now maybe 4-6 times per week, or more often if I feel I need to. I only will hang for maybe a minute, or less. My lower back will pop, the muscles will loosen up, and I'm good to go.
        I am using a "Health Rider-Inversion System".
Hope this helps and good luck!

Thanks for the info! I found mixed reviews on results when I searched the interwebz

I think it has a lot to do with what is going on and location. A good friend of mine had mid-back things going on, it didn't do a damn thing for him... and he gave the inversion table to me... and I'd be miserable without it.

I think I will keep an eye on craigs list and score an inexpensive one.

I haven't yet. I have been pretty busy the last month and a half with work, my side business, and getting ready to change jobs ($$$) once things slow down I plan to pick one up

The best tip I can offer is to find one that is comfortable to your feet and ankles while you're upside down. I get loads of relief from mine.

I don't have to use it everyday. It might sit for weeks or a month, but then a pain will creep back in and I'll hang for a little while and after a few days it all goes away.

Might have to try one out - chiropractor has been working but its expensive and hard to fit into my schedule

I use mine about once a week it helps almost every time, I do a lot of my core exercises on it as well.

I'd say try to find a used one for $100 and try it out

Some of the best money I've ever spent on my back.

Word of warning though, don't just jump on it and hang upside down for 15 minutes with full body weight. I would advise working up that though, in small increments. You can pull muscles in your back if you just jump up there go for it. This especially true if you are out of shape. That shit hurts worse than the pain you're trying to relieve.
