A lot of the guys getting all "strategic" about it are doing to step up to the box instead of jumping on, and they are doing it facing the corner instead of straight on. This one is a burner for sure, and box jumps always kill my time because I refuse to jump off, I jump up then step down (Too many achilles tendon tear stories). I'll be doing mine Saturday morning, not even sure what I expect honestly. I'd be happy with five rounds

168 reps. I fucking hate morning workouts.

This one hit a lot of people where they are good, but I don't think that step ups should be allowed.

I honestly don't think they should have been either.

I'm not gonna lie, I think they should have not allowed step ups but instead allowed full extension exiting the box. I thought that was kinda weird they did that but I did a few step ups.

I ended up with 203 I was pretty wrecked that week and should have gotten more, this is the sort of workout I usually do well in. Lower back wasn't cooperating though. Well see what happens Wed!

On another note, have you guys seen this whole crazy mess?

The athlete is disqualified for the regionals (he made regionals last year) and the affiliate is no longer allowed to validate scores for the open, so all of their athletes now need to submit a video or go to another box for the remainder of the open. Heres the video of the WOD in question:

As far as the "box jumps" I did the step up method because everyone said it was faster, and in the end I regretted it. I felt that instead of giving my posterior chain a break after the dead lifts, that I was taxing them even more by doing a slow deliberate step up and down. It also messed with my back quite a bit. Normally I jump up, then step down (I never jump off the box for fear of the tendon tear) and I should have stuck with what I practice, I believe I would have definitely gotten more reps had I jumped up like I normally do.

Saw the DQ thing yesterday. Crazy that two others got a clean 387 reps. Must've been like watching Bruce Lee workout.

This is why I think everyone should do the WOD at least twice.

Yeah that was the plan but I did dead lifts on that Tuesday (doing a strength course) then again on Wed for the general program WOD. When they announced 13.2 that night I knew there was no way I was going to do any good unless I waited till Saturday, I was pretty wrecked. Ah well, should/coulda/woulda. Hoping 13.3 isn't anything retarded heavy, thats one of my weak areas

                                Only if it's Max Deadlift.

This stamina shit kicks my ass. Then again I've only been doing true crossfit for about 7 weeks. You guys are right on par with the numbers my coach is putting up. I think he was right at 145 on 13.1 and 220 on 13.2, so props to y'all!
