    Who's waiting anxiously for 7PM tonight? lol We speculated it was gonna be 1K burpees for time. Anyone else signed up for the open?

    Hell no. I know last years burpee challenge was AMRAP in 7min. A couple of my buddies hit over 140. I'd maybe get a 100 on a good day.

        17 minute AMRAP of:
        40 Burpees
        30 Snatch, 75 / 45 lbs
        30 Burpees
        30 Snatch, 135 / 75 lbs
        20 Burpees
        30 Snatch, 165 / 100 lbs
        10 burpees
        Max rep Snatch, 210 / 120 lbs

                    went through this, this morning. 120. going for it again saturday and going to change up my rep scheme and am aiming for 135.

                    IMO the "fit" people will be 160. (i can see Brian getting 150-160)

                    dan bailey did 190 last night.

                      Screw the games. My box does the games workouts on thursdays when I usually go so that means I'll have to do this shit. Last year there was some ridiculous shit, like that mentioned 7 min AMRAP of burpees. Man, I could do that at home. Really made me question my membership actually.

                        I cant do a 165lb snatch, let alone a 135lb 30 times.

                          Anyone can do CF from home. IMO that's not the point of being a member at a CF affiliate

                            I don't have a 45# bar, I dont have 260#s worth of weight, foam rollers, rowers, kettle bells, medicine balls, nor a plethora of very attractive women in yoga pants doing squats in front of me.

                            I only have a set of rings, a 40# kettle, and one one girl in yoga pants at my place.

                              This WOD is actually a married WOD...it has the 7 minutes if burpees and the 10 minutes of snatches (hence the 17 min cap).

                              While some crossfit workouts seem basic and can be done at home, like TINKRD said, being a member is more than that. Theoretically you're getting nutritional advice, proper programming and community. You're also getting that competitive push.

                              And this WOD is gonna suck lol I'll be doing it Saturday morning. I'm more of an endurance guy than a strength guy, I have no idea how those heavy snatches are gonna work out for me
