  • Does anyone else just get tires of the same ol routine?

By routine, I mean doing whatever works for you to stay in shape. So far I've lost 11 lbs with the CKD diet with a little working out/cardio when time permits. I can tell the diet works. When I'm sticking with it during the week, I feel way less bloated and stuffed. I can eat my meals, feel satisfied and not really think about food until the next meal. I don't fall into a carb coma or regret that last meal. For the most part, I don't really crave junk food or carbs and have really adjusted well with only taking in carbs on my carb up days...typically Friday night and all day Saturday.

What I get tired of is preparing my meals and carrying a lunch box with me all day, everyday. It keeps me on track but having to do this for the rest of my life in order to keep the weight off is something I'm [not]looking forward to.

I started out grilling 5 days worth of chicken/beef, then reduced it to cooking 3 days work to keep it fresh and now I'm almost grilling/cooking nightly cause some of the foods is getting boring. Every day it's eggs/sausage, protien shake, chicken ceasar salad, some type of steak, tuna/mayo/boiled egg, protein shake, cheese stick, more sausage, peanuts, double cheesburger patties, etc. I've even taken a couple of weeks off and ate whatever to give myself a break. While the lunch and dinner outings had me feeling like crap, not having to carry a damn lunch box or worry about meal preparation, sure felt good!

I almost want to say "fuck this nonsense" and just be a fattie fo life. I guess I just needed to vent.

Sounds like you got a case of the lazys, lol.
Of course it's easy to be fat, just look around you at others.
Most people never want to choose anything that is hard in life, hence why they never reach their goals.

Stay on track man...no better feeling than progressing!!
I too wish I had great genetics and didn't have to give it my all each and every day.
    It's definitely a constant battle, but it's a battle that we/you control.

I'm still hanging in there...at least until I drop another 10-15. It just seems like lately I'm short on time so I'm almost willing to give up on something just to not feel so stretched.

I've stumbled a few times over the last year and realized the reward is worth the effort. I feel you on being tired of the same thing day in and day out. Hold steady, because what's been lost will come back with a quickness

That's one of the things I've loved about the last month of being in crossfit. We haven't had the same workout once. I go in look at the WOD board and get to work.
