  • Looking for a small gym/personal trainer in Irving area

    I've been working out for a while now. Not getting all the results I want. Looking for a personal trainer at preferably a smaller gym. Goals are just to gain mass. Sounds pretty simple huh

    one thing you can do for it to be cheaper. tell dfwmustang what your workout routine is. they will help just as much as a trainer.

      Well....thats kinda more along the lines of what im looking for. A good/better routine. I'm 6' 175. 12-14% bf. I have been eating 3-4000 "clean" calories a day. Taking 300g protein per day. Ive cut out cardio pretty much. Might do a miles or 2 twice a week. I lift semi "heavy". Try to do 3-4 sets of 7 on everything. Usually can't finish them all. I just can't gain much muscle. I think it's partially because I need to do more/different stuff. So that's why I want to find somebody to get me a good 3 on 1 off routine that will work.

          No joke! I think you need to push yourself harder. I remember seeing an old friend from highschool in the gym for years. He was scrawny and was surprised the size/strength that I had gained over the years. You could tell that he wasn't there to "work"! Gotta push yourself to reap the benefits.

            Rob Hulsey at Personal Training Zone in Coppell. Have trained with him for a few years. He's very good at what he does.

              Justin my lunches are never consistent. I'm always at auctions and stuff.

              I do workout hard. For about an hour everyday with no cardio. I don't think that's the problem. But I want somebody else to help/judge that lol.

              I will give the place in coppell a call tomorrow. Thanks!

                    You might think you do Josh, but if you aren't progressing daily and seeing results, you are obviously doing something wrong.
                    I've seen a ton of guys and girls think they are hitting it hard but in reality they are just spinning their wheels(kinda like racing) and not progressing any, more so just going through their "routine".
                    I'm offering you just that...to show you a real workout with constant change.
                    I've broken down much bigger guys than you and watched them puke.
                    As for your body frame, I'd say ZERO to very little cardio is needed.
                    I'm up there at 12 each day, I consider you a friend so my offer still stands.

                      I appreciate it man. I'm not saying you couldn't/wouldn't make me sick lol. I'm just saying that I don't fuck off while i'm in there and stuff. I'm there to work, and I only ASSume that I am working out hard because all my muscles stay sore after my workouts. Definitely room for improvements though. If I can ever make it back from my auctions by 12 I'll definitely let you know. Thanks!
