  • Weight question

Well I have lost 30lbs since September with simple diet fixes. I decided, for christmas, I really am going to relax and eat what I like. After all it is only a few days out of the year, so why not. I honestly ate just about anything I felt I wanted. Cookies, pies, mostly turkey, pretty much any kind of casserole or starch that I felt like, and had a few soft drinks on one or two occassions.

Well, as of today, I gained absolutely no weight. Is that due to my metabolism being ramped up? Or did I just not eat as bad as I thought I did?

I thought it could be me not drinking alot of water, but, I still drink water pretty much all day.

I am confused, but happy at least.

How much weight do you think you should have gained?

To gain a pound you need to ingest a net positive 3500 calories. If you are burning 2000 calories a day just living you'd have to eat 5500 calories a day.

Certainly doable but you would definitely feel it if you are use to eating 2000 calories or less a day.

I dunno. I just expected some kind of gain. Maybe a few lbs. I keep under 2000 on a daily basis. I try to stay around 1800.

The way you break down the calories makes since though. I don't think I took in that many in a day.
