I dislocated my shoulder years ago in high school and couldn't do 135 without pain (benched 315 before this). Didn't try dumbbell bench press until earlier this year and was able to workout with 90 and 100 pound weights with ease. Pushups make you a lot stronger than you think if you are doing them correctly.

I got my fatass down and busted out a 40 count (4-10s) on Monday and I am sore as fuck today. It was hard as hell to do 10 at a time, especially at the 3rd and 4th set. Hoping to be able to bust out 20-30 at a time within a month. Don't see it happening with only being able to do them every 4-5 days though.
I know nothing fights the soreness, but how the hell are you doing a lot of them daily?How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?
