  • doing push-ups everyday

Or at least 5 days a week. Can anything bad come from doing this? I try to get 100-300 in during the day right now, then plan on building up. I usually try and do half in the morning and half at night.

Been doing this for almost 2months now. At first could only do 10-15 at a time, not doing 40-50

no dude. i love push ups. bench press is nearly impossible without tear inducing pain. too much pitching and at the risk of sounding like steve, BJJ when i was younger. my right shoulder sounds like someone crumpling paper when i move it. i do 200 a day.

    god bless.

LOL, i was a pitcher growing up too and i make all kinds of noise while working out. Espcially when i'm doing dumbell shoulder presses, like i have my ear up to a bowl or Rice Crispies

6 days a week, I do 100-140 without stopping. When I was younger, I would throw several "claps" in, but it got tough on my shoulders. Some say doing sets is best, but I use it to warm-up before getting on my bike, so I just knock it out.

I do 25 pushups per hour throughout the day, at xx:45. If I miss the time, then I have to do 30.

Strength training is strength training. You'll not really get bigger but doing 200-300 push ups a day will harden the muscle. You'll do more damage though if you're diet's not on par, you can do 2000 push ups a day but with a shittie diet you'll damage the muscle and actually get weaker.

                No.

I pretty much eat what i want right now since i'm not really trying to lose weight at the moment. Usually that means high protein meals and i try to stay away from junk and carb loaded meals. Doesn't always work out that way, but i try

I dont just do it to lose weight. Its. The fact that gluten does damage the lining of your stomach. There's evidence to point that after starting a Paleo diet, it takes about a month for your stomach to heal. Processed food is so incredibly bad for you. No wonder there are so many diseases and health problems with Americans.

Eggs, beans, chicken and cheese is what I live on. Poor man's bb diet. Natural foods work, our bodies know how to process them.

any chance you have some links to support this? I have never heard of this claim till now.

Oh, I'm talking about the gluten damaging the stomach...not the fact that processed carbs are bad for you.

                              how's that? just curious.

I have a shitty ass diet. I eat out almost every single night, and drink lots of craft beer. I eat at lots of buffets. But I still lose weight, and still seem to tone my muscle plenty with what I do. I do 6 miles of running each day I run with some push ups and crunches thrown in every now and then. Bout to turn 31. 5'10", 153lbs.
