  • Whats in your protein concoctions?

    I'm going to start making protein shake/drinks in the mornings to go along with my breakfast.

    What all are you guys mixing in? A simple protein drink? (powder/liquid) Or are you mixing up a smoothie shake type drink?

    Optimum Nutrition french vanilla with two spoonfulls of french vanilla instant coffee. Mix with a shaker full of water. Enjoy.

      Add 1/2 cup oats to shaker cup. Add some cold water and allow to soak a couple minutes to soften. Add 2 scoops of protein powder (currently myofusion cinnamon roll), a little crushed ice, some more water, shake and chug.

                This is just me, and I'm very tolerant of poorly flavored protein, but that's stuff tastes like dog shit covered in fox urine.

                  I do half a cup of oats with a scoop of protein powder, a cup of milk, and a few sliced almonds (cold). I've tried it with Optimun Nutrition Gold Standard Double Rich Chocolate and Banana Cream. It's not bad. I've got some Vanilla Ice Cream I need to try.

                  It doesn't mix for shit with the cold milk but it tastes soooo much better than water.

                    Eggs, Bacon, Beef, Chicken, Turkey...milk. Fuck protein supplements. Meat is too good not to eat.

                        I've been on a breakfast kick here lately. Trying to get into the habit of getting up early enough to make breakfast, if not have stuff made to heat up. Though I am pretty sure I need to supplement my protein intake.

                          Bacon and Eggs takes about 10 minutes to make. Most important meal of the day and for some reason it never gets old.

                            At this point I'm not 100% sure if my overall energy boost through the day is from consistently eating breakfast early (7-8AM) or if I'm having some advantageous side effects of the Hexamethasone steroid I'm on for my back. My dose tapers again in 2 days, then its over 4 days after that. Time will tell. Until then, I'm developing the routine/habit alarm at 7 up and cooking breakfast and ready to go

                              Exactly, look a BB legend Arnold, in his day bbers didn't have protein powders, they ate meat, cheese, eggs, etc. I see the biggest gains when I actually eat real food. I eat about 24 eggs a day plus other proteins like chicken and fish and I keep getting stronger. Don't worry about cholesterol, that's a myth but what most gym rats don't know is all the crucial vitamins that are in the egg yoke that helps muscle gain.
