If you want to drop 5 lbs fast I would go "paleo" i.e. lean meats (beef, fish, chicken, game) veggies etc. No sugar, natural or processed, no alcohol no grains and no legumes. The weight will come off quick. Salt is not your enemy especially with the amount of water youre drinking and as much working out as you're doing.
    No alcohol. LOL

      My brother is a body builder and is doing a similar diet. Except he lifts very hard at around 5m everyday, and he eats like shit thereafter. I believe its called the John Keifer diet, and he is ripped.

      I purchased a bunch of beef from hienz on the board, so beef is readily available; Im going to pick up a bunch of chicken tomorrow. So minimize the carbs? I have cut out sodas and am trying hard to rid the rest of my sugars;
      no bread either. As far as salt goes, I know this is a vague question, but when do I know what is the right amount of salt? I do not eat tv dinners or any bullshit thag has salt in it; I do add a bit of salt t my beef, though. I appreciate the advice, sir.

      Well I have cut down greatly on this. I stopped smoking (cigars) 2 months ago and feel much better. I still like to drink every once in awhile, and I NEED to stop.

        what about buying lots of cans of tuna? lots of protein there.

        but like I said, 3-6 miles a day will work wonders, and keep everything off.

          30 day paleo diet. It's a healthy way to eat, fairly easy to do, and you'll not just lose 5lbs, but you'll lose 5+lbs in pure body fat. Basically it's meat, veggies, nuts, and some fruits. No bread. That way your body uses fat as energy instead of carbs. Look it up. If you do drink, it allows it with liquor and red wine, but the problem with drinking is that it makes you care less what you eat before going to sleep or being hungover.

            ^ Thanks for the advice. I actually started the Paleo diet 2 days ago. Im am going to post a thread near before going back to meps. So far, I have been really bitchy and a bit more hungry. I need to be packing in more calories. Did my 30-day 1-1-1 today; did 47 pushups, 35 situps and a mile in 6:47. When I started my cardio two weeks ago, it took me near 19 mins for 2 miles!
