There's no way to target fatty areas. Everybodies body stores fat different. Look at people with cankles. How the fuck does that happen? I have no clue. I've seen super fatties that don't have 'em, and people that aren't near as fat have cankles on cocaine(bigger, stronger, faster reference). You just gotta excercise and your body will burn the fat how it's gonna burn the fat. Unfortunately, I'm kinda in the same boat as you. All of my fat gets stored in my torso. I have noticed one thing though, just after a week or so of eating healthy, you can decrease the apparent size of your gut. I think it has something to do with your stomach stretching and contracting based on the amount of food it's used to having to take it.

The only way to remove fat in a particular area is via liposuction.

My question to the calorie/cardio topic is, how do you how to caluculate how much calories to cut before sending your system into shock and it starts holding on to it all and burning less? If it's different for everyone, how do I figure that out how many calories I need to hit?

When trying to burn fat, it's pretty safe to say that you need to take in 1000-1,500 calories a day just to make sure you get all the nutrients that your body needs. Your body will burn 1,500+ a day just to maintain itself, so anything burnt over that SHOULD come from your bodies energy storage supply AKA fat. Limit your carb intake because that's the first thing your body burns as energy. Less carbs to burn = more fat being used for energy.

I personally meant that physically everybody stores fat differently. Like one person might have a higher percentage stored in their arms and legs than somebody else.

Muscle is heavier than fat. You have more muscle, and likely less fat, thus you weigh more.

A good rule of thumb is to be -500 a day. So use an online BMR calculator and enter your height and weight. Find your BMR and subtract 500 calories from that. Then exercise

Dont do the diet of some of the dumbasses did over on the other board and eat 500calories a day

When I first started my transformation 2 years ago I got alot of very good info from this guy Scooby. It really did help even though it's common knowledge...but not to someone just starting.

You'd be amazed at the volume 5lbs of fat takes up vs. 5lbs of lean muscle.

i lost alot of weight from just eating meat, veggies, fruit, and very little starch, 1 gallon of water a day plus crossfit. went down 3-4 belt loops in 4 months.(sucked alot of fat off of my face, stomach, waist , ass, legs. just think to yourself "what would a caveman eat". avoid grease, proccesed foods, high fructose corn syrup, and sodas. if it can rot in 1 week or less then eat it.

I was always told abs are built in the kitchen not in the gym.
