I know that most of y'all have hit this benchmark a long time and have way surpassed it, but my bench press is notoriously shitty. Basically my five workout days go crossfit, chest, crossfit, legs, crossfit. Basically my legs are always sore because crossfit uses a lot of legs. However, I did notice that those workouts don't really focus on chest strength. So I lift heavy on my chest days. About 2 months ago I hit 285 and thought "I can do this." and despite working in some pushups yesterday into my workout I finally hit 300. I was fucking stoked.
Now I told my dad and asked what the best he ever benched was and he said he hit 315 back in the day. So my new goal is 320lbs just to progress genetic evolution. After that, I really don't give a shit. I hate doing chest.
