I started the P90 a while back, got bored and never actually finished that program. A friend of mine told me about the KettleWorx DVD set, so I tried it out. I finished tonight, in 6 weeks just like it was scheduled!
It was actually a fun set, the first 2 weeks I did M-W-F workouts. From week 3 till now, I did 5 workouts a week. Core, Cardio and Resistance are M-W-F, but I threw in Fast Fat Burn and 10 Minute Abs on Sat/Sun or Tues/Thursday. I've lost a few lb's, but most important, I lost 1 inch of belly fat! Got a couple more to go, but I really enjoyed this workout, and this is the first I actually stuck too and completed. I missed a couple workouts by 24 hours, but never skipped one, just had to do a couple on back-2-back days.
The best part is, I am taking a about %30 less insulin on average compared to pre-working out.
A few workouts really kicked my ass. The Cardio set especially. I would get my blood sugar up to 150 or even 180, and sometimes when I finish, I would be in the 30's or 40's. Normal range is between 70 - 120, so that was really low! Took some trial and error to get it dialed in, and I had to eat a lot more fruit, etc. to try and get my level back up sometimes after a workout, but overall, it's been a great experience!
I'll continue this workout program, have 4 DVD's I have not used yet (UBC), and in 2 weeks Lyn and I will start this set again, together. After that is done, I'll get Level II and give that a try.
