No mainly lots of protien with lower fats.
A normal day is around 2300 calories with 130 grams of protien, with that same amount of carbs, and 20-30 grams of fats.
A normal day for me is oatmeal for breakfest, first break at work ill eat some jerky and then lunch normally a ham/turkey sandwich with wheat pretzle sticks. Last break of the day is a little bit more jerky. After work i come home and head to the gym. Normally on a empty stomach, but sometimes a peice or two of toast.
After working out i take a scoop and a half of protein powder.
After that its time for supper. I eat whatever the wife cooks, and she lost 60 pounds last year and is currently about to train for a marithon.
I do well if i can stay away from snacks. Its my killer I can sit down and chow a sleave of club crackers no problem.

Hopefully itll iron itself out soon. I hate walking, as im just starting to get a few minutes in before having to slow for a min.
Being a smoker for all my adult life and only being 6-7 months out, my lungs have a long way to go.
Other than that i still weigh the same as i did last week. Im glad ive got the next two days off to recover. I really wish at times like these i had a job that used more of my brain than my body. I do alot of walking on concrete 3-5 hours a day.
Diet is still going well. I cheated today and had a coke and a little ice cream. Still under 3k calories.
Other than that im beat and so is the body.
I'd be happy to come walk with you if you want someone to come along. You may also want to look into a book by Danny Dreyer called Chi walking. I have is book Chi Running. It's a little far out there and zen like at times, but his explanation of common running injuries and things that work is pretty good. You may see if there is a section like that in his walking book.
You might also want to try runners world forums. There are a lot of doctors posting on running forums out there. You can get a lot of free advice and take what is best for you from it.
Last year I couldn't run a lick, but right now I can run until I run out of fuel and or time. You have to start from somewhere. Starting is the hardest part. Getting through the first few weeks is the most awful part. It does get better.

For snacks try eating fresh veggies, pickles, etc...food with little calories but filling.
I you want something sweet try the jello sugar free cups. The caramel mousse is great as are many others and they're only 60 calories. Great substitute for things like ice cream.

So what was the verdict Koopa? My knee is still hurting and still painful to walk. 3 Tylenol will knock it out so i can make it for work. If mine does not start feeling better by next week its back to the Dr i go.
I was just there last month for Knee pain, and they said i was fine. Its a very localized pain on the inside of the knee.

He said he didn't really want me to work out but if I do, to be VERYcareful and not to work my lower half until I'm healed... So I guess I'll continue working my upper body and running(I probably shouldn't do that either but, oh well!)
Running probably puts a lot of pressure on the spinal cord and might hurt your nerve. Be very careful.
The good news is that you are far closer to your goal than I think you realize. Heck you are realistically runway and red carpet ready right now.
