We'll see! ;o) My only concern is if they have a "Walk across the glass field" section or 5 miles of gravel...I'd be fuc'd!!! My half in March the weekend before will be barefoot, but I have a full to look forward to in June, so I will probably play it safe in my Vibrams... If we do the warrior dash, though...I'm going CaveMan style!

You shouldn't have a problem with the warrior dash aside from a bit of gravel. Actually...barefoot may be better. You won't have to worry about mud caking up

Yeah, that makes sense. I have a gravel bucket I march in to toughen up my soles for gravel and chip seal, but I havne't needed it much...might be a good idea to be prepared, though.
I think the bare feet were sort of an advantage in the wet Half Marathon my wife and I just ran. I kept hearing people say they couldn't feel their toes, but when it wasn't raining, the tops of my feet would dry out, I didn't have to worry about avoiding puddles and even after puddles, they dried pretty quick. I'll bet wet running shoes and socks can feel heavy after a bit, too. I did almost bust my ass on the smooth wet concrete in the runners building about 8 times, though! I wish I would have thought to leave dry clothes and shoes in a drop bag...the 30-40min after the race and before we got in the car were the worst of all! Live and learn, I suppose.
Seems shoulders, arms and back are going to be key for some of those obstacles. I'm working those things - but truth be told - if I don't lose more of my gut it's going to be pointless.
I think I'll probably puke twice getting to the end. Most of those obstacles don't see impossible. Only one I have major concern with is the monkey bars that go up, across and down.

I'm with you, Chris! I figure we can work as a team to get some of that done, but I haven't looked that close at the course, yet. My running coach is supposed to be sending me my program tonight, to get me under a 2hr Half in March and through the Full in June as well as loosing the weight I want to loose.
Brother just did one in FL. said it was a blast and it was more about team work and helping each other out through the obsticles, then it was about being 1st across the finish line. I'll post up some pics, some people dressed up in costumes.
I would definitely like to do one.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Yeah, that's what I liked about the description. I think they stagger you so you're not waiting in line at the next obsticle too.

I watched numerous actual videos on it, and of course there are competitive people/teams there - but it really seemed laid back. Made me feel better when I saw that most people fell off the monkey bars though. Although, I still don't want to fall off them.

The training isn't that bad if you're a runner. By the time you're tired of running there's an obstacle to get through and by the time you're tired of obstacles it's time to run.
An invasion of armies can be resisted, but not an idea whose time has come.
