All you need is some protein. 1g per pound...so 180g a day. Whatever you dont eat in your diet, supplement with shakes.

check out scoobysworkshop.com for some good workout info. Its a lot more realistic in setting goals and good nutrition info.

I agree with the guys. Protien for now till you're back in the swing of things and you don't get sore anymore. How you work out should drive what you take in, not the other way around.

PS: I've been back at it since Jan after about 9mo off from shoulder surgery. I lift M & F, spin T-W-Th and run 4 days a week. I take creatine every day, Assault prior to my lifts and protein after my lifts. Beyond that I just try to eat healthy.

Honestly, I don't know which one is best of the best. The cheap Wal-mart stuff works fine for me, but I just started taking a Casien Protien and drinking it while I work out.
I wouldn't take a preworkout drink like Jack3d or Assault if you have to go to sleep after! Creatine will help you store more energy in your muscles though...won't affect your sleep that I'm aware of.

I take the preworkout cause I do a total upper body 5x20 100 rep workout with chest and back superset together and shoulders, tris and bis super set together twice a week durring my lunch hour and it kicks my ass! I'm more focussed on loosing weight and I don't want my lifting to cut into spin class, running or family time.

              Best protein in my opinion?

Tilapia, salmon, chicken...haha you get the point. But getting into the shakes I like optimum nutrition because it's low cal, good bcaa blend, and most of all cheap. I'm sure there's better but it's been my pick for several years.

In that case try pure protein...it's always my backup...and I'm pretty sure walmart carries it

Optimum Nutrition definitely has the best shit. Pro-complex is great. 8 protein sources, hardly any fat, and tastes good. Don't ever buy it from stores, especially GNC. You'd be looking at $90 a tub. Always use Amazon.com. You can usually find it for $40-50 a tub.

You're talking 5lb tub correct? I always get the 2lb for like $22...

                          Vitamin shoppe is decently cheaper

i like whey protein b/c of the low carb and low calorie it has. unsweetened almond milk makes it taste nom nom nom.

as for which whey, i normally get teh gold standard from GNC b/c of the cheap price. i'm sure if you order from lockout that Greg will help suggest items for your needs/goals

i understand the busy schedule. i did the same thing last semester taking 12hrs at school and still working 35hrs a week. Critical time management is key plus the will power to not let anything stand in your way
