What are you at now Big Bubba??

I can incline the 140's and I'm only 220lbs and still dropping weight on a 4,000+ calorie diet, lol.
I am really getting into doing 100lb+ dips though!

Plain gatorade kills me because of all the sugar. I like G2 sometimes. I actually drink watered down G2 (half and half). This seems to have enough sugar and potassium to help on longer rides or runs and it doesn't give you the I just drank a sugar cube mouth.

I also keep a bottle of just water on my bike. I have 2 or 3 cages on all of my bikes. I also keep fig newtons handy in case I feel like I need more calories.

I'm trying to learn to eat one newton every 30 minutes during endurance workouts. It works out to 100 calories of sugar per hour. Apparently your body only has 2000 calories of sugar stored up according to most experts. In really long endurance events, if you aren't eating you will not finish.

                  Good job man!
You obviously have good power, now I'd love to see you actually stick with the dieting/fatloss aspect of the equation.

                  Did you do any cardio?

One of my favorite chest exercises is:
                  130-140lb dumbbell presses(incline or flat)
Supersetted with 100-130lb + bodyweight dips
This incorporates both the pecteralous(sp) major and minor muscles and will give you a great pump!
I do flat bench maybe once a year, if that.

Not many people in general do dips regularly.
Most people sit on the flat bench and take up space.
I actually do weighted dips twice a week(tricep and chest days).

I'm still trying to get up to Jewbaka POWA!

Good luck man, stick with it!

What i love doing is free hanging on the dip bars and starting from full extention at the bottom.. Makes it a little tougher.. At my weight.. I dont need more weight when i dip lol.. Only time it helps to be tubby lol.

                          I surprised myself...
I did the 140's yesterday for 3 sets of 8-10 reps on incline.
Then went to flat and did the 120's, supersetted with 85lb dips for 3 sets with only 1 minute rest between sets(the 1 minute rest thing is the kicker!).

i flat bench directly before incline

                            for example yesterdays works sets was 405x 8 , 425 x5 and 455x 3

at that stage 160s felt heavy.. did 8,8,5

if i go light on bench for higher reps.. say 315 for sets of 12-15.. the 160s are easy mode..

oh well.. just have to get my strength and reps back.. while losing weight..apparently i need to up my calories.. my low calory intake is inhibiting weight loss;(

                              I understood that.
I never flat bench...in my mind, it's for bragging rights.
I'm not trying to compete with you man, you are stronger than me.

You are kidding yourself if you think you are not already strong.
If I were you, I would be concentrating my efforts on primarily weight loss(intensity and cardio), but that's just me.
You have to train your body and speed up your metabolism.
I'm only 220lbs and into single digit bf %'s now(I also gained a ton of strength while doing this) and I eat 5,000 or so calories a day.
Then again, I workout 7 days a week for 2hrs a day(6 days cardio included) and never miss one workout(no matter what life throws at me).

You've been in this game long enough...
you know what to eat, you know what to do, you just need to do it!
